User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeToday I received notification that my request was funded by the sheer generosity of others. With many struggling in today's world, I am in complete awe that you felt that I deserved such a blessing. Saying 'Thank you' seems so insufficient for a gift so big and the impact it will have on me and my family. I chose to become an early childhood educator for my love of children and the rewards of planting a little seed that I hoped would help them grow into the superstars they are today. I knew I wouldn't become rich financially but knew this is what I wanted to do. This year however after struggling financially and not being able to get ahead, I thought I would have to give up my job for one that would help me better provide for my family. Thanks to each of you and the stress you have relieved from me, I can continue to do what I love. For you, it might have been a small gesture. For me, it meant everything. Thank you for feeling my struggle and stepping forward to help a stranger. YOU ARE MY HEROES and I promise to do my best to do for others, what you have done for us. May God bless you as you have blessed us.

I'm an Early Childhood Educator. If I Lose My Car, I Can't Work. Please Help Me Keep My Job!

My Story:

I am in my 23rd year working in Early Childhood education. Its something I am deeply passionate about, but I'm not going to lie; the rewards outweigh the financial aspects of my job. I have always struggled living paycheck to paycheck.

I've always eventually rebounded and caught back up. But at the end of summer, we had an unexpected well repair and then had to replace a blown tire on my car. With the rising cost of gas, and basic needs, I have found it almost impossible to rebound from these expenses the way I normally would. I've had to pick and choose which bills to pay, and as a result, I'm now two months behind on my car payment. I'm on thin ice with my auto lender as it is, and if I don't catch up soon, they're going to take my car. And because I live in a rural area, if I lose my car, I'll lose my ability to do everything from earn a living to go to the grocery.

I've been financially stressed before, but never like this. There have been nights where I've actually stayed up all night, worrying about what I'm going to do if I lose this car, because for the first time in my life, I really don't know what I'm going to do. So I'm humbly asking Modest Needs for help to catch up my past-due car payment. Now that we're back in school, if I can catch up these past due payments, I can take care of everything going forward. But if I lose this car, I lose everything I have. That's no exaggeration.
Thank you so much for reading my request, for thinking of me, and for being there for those of us who can't be there for ourselves. In a world that seems upside down most of the time, just knowing you're out there brings me a lot of comfort. Again, thank you.
