My Baby Was Born with a Hole in Her Heart & I Missed Work. Please Help Me Keep My Car!

My Story:

I'm a single mother to two beautiful little girls - a four year old, and a new addition to my family: a beautiful little baby girl who was born in May of this year. My employer doesn't offer paid maternity leave, so I worked right up until my due date, and I'd planned to go back to work about three weeks after my daughter was born. I even saved up enough money to be able to pay my bills during that three weeks I'd planned to be off.

What I didn't plan on is that my daughter would be born with a heart defect that would require emergency surgery. In the end, I had to take four more weeks off than I'd planned so that I could care for my little girl, and during that time, I got behind on several of my bills. I've now caught up on everything but my car payment, but my auto lender hasn't been very understanding. They're threatening to take my car if I'm not caught up within the next two weeks, and if that happens, I won't be able to get to work or take care of my family.

I'm a very responsible person and am proud that I'm able to support my family on my own. I try not to ask for help from anyone, and I usually can pay for all of my bills on my own. I've now caught up on all of the bills that I'd gotten behind on while caring for my daughter except for this one last bill. Please help me keep my car. Without it, I can't be the mother I've always been for my kids. Thank you so much!
