A Cancer Diagnosis is Threatening My Home! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a single woman, and I'm struggling to remain self-sufficient after I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma Stage IV. I spent six months doing chemotherapy, and I'm currently on pills now. From February to June, I was out of work and receiving short-term disability benefits, but those only covered a portion of what I would earn while working. To make matters worse now, I'm on FMLA because I needed to keep my health insurance through my employer, and I'm not receiving any income as a result.
I've already started to fall behind on my mortgage, and I'm really nervous about the prospect of losing my home while I'm still battling cancer. So, I'm very humbly asking for help with keeping my home, please. Right now, I'm scheduled to return to work in November after I can complete about three months' worth of physical and occupational therapy. Until then, I desperately need help keeping up with my mortgage so that I don't lose my home to foreclosure.
It has been a very difficult year for me, and there have been points where I didn't know if I was going to make it through this hardship. However, with this help, I know that I can make it through this hardship and get back to working again. I will never forget the kindness that I've been shown, and I will be so grateful for this assistance for years to come.
