Acupuncture is the Only Thing that Relieves the Pain from My Chemo. Please Help Me Afford It!
My Story:
After the passing of my mother, who I cared for for over ten years, I'm living on my own. She passed away very recently. Around the time I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, my mother tripped and fell, breaking her back in the process. She grew weaker and weaker while undergoing rehab, and then she passed away. Losing her has been very difficult, and I've been working hard to try to adjust to life without her while also battling cancer. With my mother gone, I'm staying in her home in Tempe while undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
To be completely honest, the treatment has been extremely grueling and painful. Specifically, the pain in my feet due to the chemotherapy has been especially hard for me to manage. They're a hot, blistery mess right now, but I've been receiving acupuncture therapy for the past couple of weeks, and that's done wonders for me. My acupuncturist seems to be the only one who can help with the side effects, and her treatments help keep me physically mobile, which will allow me to work going forward. However, while undergoing chemotherapy and while I'm out of work, I can barely afford all of my bills as things stand, and I need help if I'm going to continue to receive acupuncture therapy.
With this assistance, I'll be able to manage the pain of my chemotherapy treatments much more effectively, and that will allow me to get back to working again as well. I would be so appreciative of this assistance because without it, my feet will get so bad that I can't walk, and I won't be able to live on my own if that happens. Once I've beaten this cancer and finished my chemotherapy, I'll find a way to pay this forward.
