I Was Injured at Work but My Employer Stopped My Worker's Comp. My Only Hope is to Live with My Son.

My Story:

After losing my husband to prostate cancer, I raised all five of my children mostly on my own. I did so while working hard as a housekeeper at an assisted living facility. All of my children are grown up and living on their own, but I still get to spend a lot of time with them. More than anything else, I love to go antiquing with my sons, and I love to just spend time with my family in general.

Since my husband passed many years ago, life has not always been kind to my family, and we've struggled a lot over the years. Still, we've always been able to survive and adapt to the situation we're facing. However, right now, we're having a hard time adjusting to our current hardship. I was injured at work a few months ago and have been on worker's compensation until recently when my employer inexplicably stopped the payments. I'm trying to get my benefits restored, as my employer was at fault for the injury and were ordered to pay worker's compensation. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck with that, and I've started to make other arrangements to get us through this situation. My son has generously offered to have me move in with him because I can no longer afford my apartment and getting around is becoming difficult for me. Right now, we're facing a major roadblock though because while I'm not working, I can't afford to hire a moving truck. With that in mind, I'm asking for assistance with affording the moving costs that I need to cover in order to move in with my son.

I'm just barely treading water right now, and I'm really worried about losing everything if I can't make this move happen. Being able to move in with my son would really bring me a lot of stability, and I would be very grateful for that. Thank you to everyone who helps me with this move, and I promise that I will find a way to pay this forward.
