We Sacrificed Our Mortgage to Repair Our AC! Please Help Us Keep Our Home.

My Story:

I'm a 55-year-old mother, and I'm currently living with my daughter and her two sons while I undergo chemotherapy. I'm helping her raise them because she's disabled due to injuries that she sustained while serving in the military. Both of us are unable to work due to our medical conditions, so we both spend all of our time with the children. They're both amazing young men, and they love sports, video games, and they're very creative too.

With both my daughter and I out of work, we struggle to cover unexpected expenses because we live on a fixed income with little room to budget for anything outside of our monthly bills. When our air conditioner broke, that's where our hardship really began. Due to the cancer in my lungs and chest I am unable to breath if it gets hot, so we had to have it fixed as soon as possible. In order to do that though, we had to use part of the money we typically budget for our mortgage, and now we can't afford to cover that this month.

Falling behind on our mortgage would be really difficult for us to recover from, especially while I'm in the middle of a difficult battle with cancer. There's no way we'll be able to catch up on our mortgage on our own, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with covering that for this month. Your help would allow me to remain healthy without having to worry about doing so at the expense of losing our home. Thank you to everyone who helps us with our mortgage, and I promise that we will look for a way to pay it forward when we're in a more stable position.
