User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThank you from the bottom of my heart for reaching out and helping me with this challenge. I am eternally grateful. One never knows of the dominoes that occur when we have health challenges that lead to imbalances in the structure of our lives. You reaching out to help allows me to get the needed medical treatments and feel safe in driving my car and allowing me to move forward from this very unfair eviction and housing instability. Our world in not a perfect place. Reaching out is also hard at times , but I am so glad I did . You are all making my life better and making the world a better place for all of us. Blessings to each of you.

I Was Wrongfully Evicted While Struggling with Medical Issues. Please Help Me Get the Care I Need!

My Story:

I'm a disabled senior, and I'm an architect by profession. While I'm retired, I still take a lot of interest in my field, and I try to stay as informed and engaged with it as I can. Currently, I'm disabled and am unable to work due to a mesh implant that injured me and needed to be removed. In the process of me healing from that injury, my landlord at the time illegally evicted me. I was homeless for months before finally finding a new place to live.

Being illegally evicted by my old landlord was extremely difficult for me to recover from, and to be straightforward, I haven't fully recovered. When I was evicted, I hired an attorney to fight the eviction, but they did a poor job, misfiled paperwork, and I was evicted anyways. That attorney abruptly quit my case, and they're now being investigated by the BAR association in my state. Because I was kicked out of my home abruptly, all of my belongings fell into the possession of my old landlord, and so I've had to hire another attorney to get those items back. While dealing with all of these legal issues with my old landlord, I've also been battling major health problems. I'm having trouble affording my insurance coverage and the medical bills from the treatments that I need to manage my health problems. Currently, I don't have any savings our emergency funds to rely on, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with my medical bills as well as my insurance bills.

I've fought hard to rebuild after wrongfully losing my home, but right now, I'm afraid that I'm going to wind up back where I was a few months ago. Most of all, I'm afraid that I'll be denied the vital medical care that I need to stay healthy going forward. With that said, I would be touched and truly grateful for the assistance that I receive with my medical bills and insurance bills. Thank you to everyone who lends me a much-needed hand up.
