I'm Retired & Living on a Fixed Income. Please Help Me Repair My Car!

My Story:

I'm 68 years old, and I'm a breast cancer survivor. In fact, I've overcome breast cancer twice now. The first time I was diagnosed was in 2007, and then again 10 years later to the month in 2017. I feel very blessed to have been able to make a full recovery after both diagnoses, and I'm especially grateful because it means I get to enjoy watching my two wonderful grandsons grow up. I see them regularly, and they like to come over and play with my beagle and two cats!

I'm fairly recently retired from my job, and I live on a fixed income now. I receive a pension from my work, and I also get social security. Between both of those I usually have enough to get by, but I've really been feeling the price increases due to inflation. My income doesn't stretch as far as it used to, and so I have to live on a very tight budget. I don't have room for unexpected expenses anymore, and my car just recently broke down. I can't afford to fix it on my own, so I'm seeking assistance with the cost of repairs.

My car is my only means of transportation, and without it, I'm really struggling to take care of myself. It's hard for me to get to doctor's appointments and even to the grocery store. I'm hoping and praying for assistance with these repairs, as I desperately need to get my vehicle back on the road. Thank you all in advance for this assistance, and I will find a way to pay it forward.
