First of all, I would like to say that I am very grateful. A Stroke Has Kept Me Out of Work & I Need Help Keeping My Car Please!
My Story:
I'm a hardworking mother, and I take care of my adult son. He's disabled but doesn't receive any type of disability assistance form the state. I work as a alarm coordinator at AutoZone, and I've been doing that for a little over four years now. I like my job, but I've been out of work for about two months after suffering a stroke.
In May, I suffered a pretty significant stroke, and I haven't been able to work since then. I plan on returning as soon as possible, but my doctors say that I'm not healthy enough to return. In the meantime, I'm not making any income after my short-term disability was placed on hold. I'm waiting for an extension on that, but more than anything, I just want to return to work. We were already living paycheck to paycheck and didn't have any savings at all, so I've really struggled to keep up with all of our bills. Right now, I'm most worried about our car payment because if it's repossessed, I won't be able to return to work.
I'm seeking assistance with my car payment so that I'm able to return to work when I'm healthy again. Like I said, more than anything, I want to go back to working and providing for my son and I again. He relies on me, and I'm worried that losing our car and losing my job would put us into an endless cycle of poverty. While I plan on returning to work soon, we need this help if we're going to make I through this short-term hardship.
