My Job Ended the Program I was Managing, & Then My Car Broke Down! Please Help Me Repair it.

My Story:

I am a 28-year-old male, and I live on my own with a gray tabby cat. I recently moved to Houston alone from Florida so that I could be in a healthier environment that more conducive to my continued growth in life. When I moved here, I started working a great job in sales, and it was more than enough for me to live and provide for myself and my cat. I would definitely consider myself to be a hard worker, but sometimes life throws a curveball your way.

Recently, a new vice president took over at our company, and they decided to cancel the program that I was the sale manager of. I'm still with the company, but now I've been moved back to my previous position. It pays less consistently because it's all commission based, and so it's going to take me time to reestablish contact with old and new client alike. Effectively, I'm facing a gap in employment right now, and to make matters worse, my car just stopped starting up four days ago. Apparently, it's a problem with my battery, and it's going to be fairly expensive for me to fix it on my own. Without my car, I'm having a hard time getting to work, let alone anywhere else, and I need assistance to get it fixed please.

Houston has barely any reliable public transportation, making living here without a car very difficult. With this assistance, I can keep working consistently, and most importantly, I'll be able to remain independent. My greatest fear is that I'll have to move back home to an environment where I don't feel very welcome anymore. With that said, I would be deeply appreciative and relieved to receive this support. I promise that I will try to find a way to pay the kindness I'm shown forward to someone else in need.
