We're About to Lose Access to Healthcare & We Need Help Please!

My Story:

My spouse and I have been married since 1985, and we've always been there for each other no matter what. We always wanted a child, and after trying for a while, I started experiencing strange symptoms. I began falling asleep while talking to people and while standing up! This was the first symptom I had when I found out I was pregnant. Our daughter was born 7 1/2 months later. Now, she's 20 years old, an aspiring writer, and a talented artist. She is our greatest joy.

The strange symptoms I experienced during my pregnancy were early signs of the health issues that I have developed over the years. I have several health conditions including, but not limited to, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, IBS, and Migraines. I have to go to a doctor monthly, and a few specialists yearly or quarterly. In spite of that, I've been able to work consistently, at least that was true until the pandemic began. My husband and I lost our jobs during the pandemic, and I've only recently started working again. At first, I started working at a bank, but it was a horrible fit, and I parted ways with them after three months. Since then, I've been working for Home Depot, and I love it. Still, we're living paycheck to paycheck and struggle to get by from month to month, as my husband is only working part-time. However, the greatest hardship we're facing right now is due to me losing my health insurance. The medical bills from all of my treatments have started to stack up, and we can't afford them.

No one wants to ask for help, and I'm no exception, but as I said, these medical bills are weighing very heavily on us. My greatest fear is that I'll start being denied treatment and access to my doctors. I've managed to get a new health insurance plan, but it won't cover the bills that are already due, and without those taken care of, my health will suffer. We have so many healthcare concerns to manage, so we're very humbly asking for assistance with the medical bills that we owe. More than anything, we would be so grateful for this assistance. With all the terrible things happening in the world, it's the little acts of kindness and charity that give you faith in humanity again.
