I'm Living on a Fixed Income & Can't Afford to Fix My Car! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a single woman living on my own. Earlier this year, I decided to retire early due to disability, but my benefits were delayed for about two months, and I struggled to keep up with all of my bills during that time. Still, I was able to keep up with my rent and utilities, but then, my car broke down.
I live on my own and survive off of a fixed income, so I don't have the means to pay for these repairs on my own. Keeping my car in working condition is extremely important, as I live in a very rural area and rely on my vehicle for everything. I need it to get to doctor's appointments, the grocery store, and in case of an emergency, I need to have a vehicle I can rely on. My vehicle needs to have some serious work done on it to make sure that it remains drivable, and I also know that getting these repairs done will save me a lot in the future. I need to have the battery replaced, and I need to have the brake pads and intake gasket replaced. I can't afford to have all of that work done on my own, and I need to be able to keep driving my only vehicle, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with these repairs.
Expenses like this one are usually very difficult for me to handle, but if I can get this work done, it should keep my vehicle running smoothly for the foreseeable future. I'll be able to keep living independently, and for that, I would be very grateful to everyone who lends me a hand with these repairs. Hopefully, I can find a way to pay this forward soon. Thank you.
