I Lost My Second Job & Had to Pay for Summer School for My Daughter. Please Help Us Keep Our Power!
I am a single mother of a child with pulmonary valve stenosis. She currently attends all day pre-school in order for me to work during the day. I do not have any family located here to help watch her, so I have to pay for childcare until she starts school full-time. The costs are fairly steep, and it's difficult for me to keep up with those bills, but I do the best that I can to keep my daughter in school.
Month to month, I earn enough to cover most of our expenses, but anything unusual is very difficult for me to cover. Until recently, I was working a second job at Amazon, and I had to quit due to some issues I was having with my heart. That job was helping with my daughter's school tuition, and it was also going to allow me to cover my daughter's summer school program. I knew that if I was going to be able to keep working over the summer, I would have to cover the cost of her summer program, so I did that. However, now I can't afford some of my other bills, and it's reached the point where I've received a shut-off notice for my utilities. I'm worried that in a matter of weeks my daughter and I are going to lose our electricity service, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with catching up on that bill.
Getting back to current on our electric bill will keep our lights on for the foreseeable future, but it will also allow me to continue to pay for my daughter's schooling as well as some of our other expenses and bills. We would be very appreciative of this assistance, and I want to thank all of the people who come together to help us keep our power on.
