Two Car Accidents Left Me Severely Injured & Unable to Work! Please Help Me Keep My Lights on!
My Story:
I'm a first generation college graduate, and for my entire life, I've worked hard to overcome poverty and the difficult circumstances I was born into. I have a very deep spiritual relationship with God, and I believe that He has carried me and will carry me through all of the trials I'm currently facing. Recently, I was in two different car accidents, one of which left me severely injured.
Before being injured in those car accidents, I was working at a prison as a substance abuse counselor. I loved my job, but it was very difficult and emotionally taxing above all else. Eventually, I had to leave my job, mostly due to the injuries I had sustained, but also due to the toll that it was taking on my mental health. Since then, I have struggled to find work that will accommodate my needs, and I'm having a hard time making ends meet as a result. More than anything, I want to get back to working again, but I need to focus on getting healthy again first; however, it's difficult to do that when I can't pay all of my bills on time. For that reason, I'm humbly asking for assistance with paying my electric bill.
Right now, I have to choose between what I can and can't pay, and it's led to a situation where I'm on the verge of losing my electricity. Keeping my lights on would allow me to focus on getting my health back to where it was before the car accidents and doing that would allow me to finally return to work. It's been a difficult year, so I would be deeply touched and grateful to receive this help. Just knowing that there are people out there who care about me and what I'm going through would give me the renewed sense of hope that I need to keep pushing ahead. Thank you all for this assistance in advance, and I promise that I will never forget it.
