I Can't Keep Up with My Car Payment After My Hours at Work Were Cut! Please Help.

My Story:

I live on my own after my only child moved out a few years ago. They're off on their own, and I'm very proud of them! I have always worked hard to take care of myself, and I've never had any family to rely on for support. It was difficult raising my child on my own without the help of my family, but I still did it and am proud of that. In order to support myself, I work as a cashier, and while I'm usually able to make ends meet, my hours have been cut recently, and I'm struggling to get by.

Because I'm working and earn too much, I don't qualify for local or federal government support, and I have lived paycheck to paycheck nearly my entire life, so I have nothing to fall back on for support after my hours were cut. On top of that, everything has gotten more expensive; things like groceries, gas, and utilities are double or triple the cost of what they were just last year. When you live paycheck to paycheck, it's difficult to take those inflated costs on the chin, so to speak. Because of the reduction in hours that I'm facing and because of the inflated cost of living, I'm really struggling to keep up with my car payments and have fallen behind on those by about two months. I'm worried that I'm going to lose my only means of transportation, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with catching up on my car note.

Right now, I'm searching for a second job to supplement my income, but I'm worried that I could lose my current job if my car is repossessed. It's the only way that I can get to and from work, so without it, I'm completely stuck. With that said, I would sincerely appreciate the help that I'm given, and I will certainly pay it forward any opportunity that I get in the future.
