After My Boyfriend Lost His Job, We're On the Verge of Losing Our Power & Need Help Please!
My Story:
I'm a young single mother, and I have a 2-year-old son at home who is my entire world. We live together with my boyfriend. We all love nature, and my son loves to go to the park, and he could truly run for hours out there! He's a really wonderful part of our lives, and we treasure all of the time that we get to spend with him.
My boyfriend lost his job recently due to cutbacks from the pandemic and his employer closing their doors, so we've really been struggling financially. My income is the only thing we have coming in at the moment, as my boyfriend has been unable to secure unemployment benefits yet. He's searching for work every day, and I've tried to pick up as many hours at work as I can, but we still keep coming up short on our bills. We have to pick and choose what we can and can't pay, and now we're really in a bad bind financially. We're just weeks away from having our power shut-off, and without my boyfriend's income, we don't have any way of catching up on what we owe before our power is shut-off.
We're in desperate need of assistance with keeping our power on, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our past due electric bill. My boyfriend is frantically searching for work, but even if he were to find a job tomorrow, we wouldn't receive a paycheck in time to catch up with our electric bill. I know that we can get back on track, but in the meantime, we would be so grateful for this support, and I promise that we will do everything in our power to pay it forward. Thank you all in advance for helping to keep our lights on.
