I Moonlight as a Delivery Driver, so I Had to Repair My Car Using My Rent Money! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a recent college graduate, and I'm completely on my own in terms of financial support. Right when I got out of school, I found a job working for a non-profit, and while I love the work that I do and the fulfillment that it gives me, my job pretty much only allows for me to live paycheck to paycheck.
In order to try to put money away, and honestly, just to afford my bills from month to month, I've been working as an Instacart deliverer. It's given me a little bit more financial stability, and I want to continue doing it for that reason, but my car recently broke down. During a delivery, the transmission in my car started skipping gears and broke down completely. I knew that if I was going to be able to keep up with my bills, I was going to have to get my car repaired as soon as possible. However, I didn't know that it was going to take as long as it did, and I ended up losing over two weeks of my supplemental income. I drained what I had saved to get my car repaired, and now without my supplemental income and saving, I can't afford my rent for this month.
I have nothing to fall back on right now, and I'm desperately in need of help with keeping my home. Falling behind on my rent and being hit with late fees will back me even further into a corner, and I'll have no way out and will lose my home eventually. So, I'm humbly asking for assistance with my rent, and I would be deeply relieved and grateful for this support. I will do everything in my power to repay the generosity I have been shown.
