I'm a Single Father Doing My Best Keep a Roof Over Our Heads, but I Need Help Please!

My Story:

I am a single father of a 5-year-old son. My son is very energetic, loves sports, loves his toys, is very creative, and loves arts and crafts. He's my entire reason for everything that I do, and I have always tried my best to support him and work as hard as I can to be the best father that I can be. I work full-time as an Electronic Technician in order to support my small family.

I normally earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. I had no savings set aside when my employer suddenly decreased my wages due to the economic situation surrounding Covid-19. Prior to that our company also lost bids on several contracts, so my employer also has had several recent unexpected waves of lay-offs. I am still employed, but as a result of my decreased wages, I fell behind on my rent, utilities, and my car note. In addition to that, my vehicle is in need of expensive repairs. My vehicle is my only transportation, and without it I would not be able to go to work, perform everything I am required to do for my job, and transport my son everywhere he needs to go, including school. To try to keep up, I also accumulated overdraft fees on my bank account. Now, I'm facing dire circumstances financially, and I desperately need help catching up on our rent if we're going to remain in our home.

My rent is currently two weeks late, and I have already stretched myself as thinly as possible in order to cover what rent I can, as well as things like our utilities, groceries, our car note, and gas. I can't cover the rent that I still owe, and now my landlord is threatening to evict us if I can't come up with what I owe soon. I'm doing everything in my power to find a way to get current, and I've even picked up another part-time job in order to supplement our income. Still, it's too little, too late, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent in order to save our home. I can't overstate how much this assistance would mean to my son and I, and I promise that we will always remember this act of generosity and use it as inspiration to assist others in the near future. Thank you.
