I Had Two Surgeries that Kept Me Out of Work. Please Help Us Keep Our Lights on!
My Story:
I'm a single mother with two wonderful children. My oldest is my 15-year-old daughter, and my younger son is 12 years old. They're both really good kids and excellent students, and I'm truly very proud to be their mom. They have my back through everything, and they're such a huge source of support and inspiration for me.
Since the end of October of last year, we've been facing a lot of hardship due to some medical issues that I've been experiencing. I had to have two surgeries last October, and I was out of work for a lot longer than I had anticipated. I quickly exhausted all of my paid time off, and weeks turned into months. I wasn't able to fully return to work until the end of January, and now, we're struggling to keep up with a lot of our bills. I've been trying to keep up as best as I can, but we make too much to receive government assistance, and we don't have any family to rely on for support either. We've fallen behind on our electric bill, and I'm terrified because we're just weeks away from having our lights shut-off.
I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our electric bill so that we can avoid having our lights shut-off. I've been trying to support my kids on my own, but with the surgeries I've had to have things have been difficult for us. However, this assistance would do so much to get us back on track again, and I'll be able to focus on getting caught up now that I'm working again. Thank you all in advance for this assistance, and I promise that we will do our best to pay it forward in the near future.
