I Had to Stay Home to Care For My Son. Now, We're Going to Lose Our Car! Please Help.
My Story:
I am a single mom of two boys, one who doesn't really live with me anymore and one who is still living with me and is in high school. We have two dogs that my son takes care of when I am not home because he does his schooling online. My son who still lives with me is type-one diabetic, and I'm the only caregiver that he has. I work full-time in order to provide for us, but I've had to miss a lot of work lately to care for my son.
My son's diabetes got out of control, and I had to take an extended leave of absence from work to care for him and to make sure he got his diabetes under control again. Unfortunately, I wasn't paid for the time that I had to take off, and on top of that I was out of work for longer than I had originally anticipated. From February 22nd to March 29th, I was completely out of work and didn't collect a paycheck. Now, I have to wait another two weeks on top of that before I'm paid again. As a result, I've fallen behind on our car note, and I'm on the verge of having it repossessed.
We desperately need help catching up on our car note before it's repossessed. I've tried reaching out to the car company to make a payment arrangement, but they won't budge, so without help, we'll lose our only vehicle. We rely on our car to get everywhere. I need it to get to work and the grocery store, but most importantly, I need it to get my son to his doctor's appointments so that we can better manage his diabetes. So it's for his sake that I'm very humbly asking for this assistance with our car note. I would be so deeply grateful and relieved to receive this assistance because it will ensure that I can get my son the care that he needs to get healthy again.
