I Battled Cancer For Two Years. Even Though I'm Working Again I Need Help with My Rent!

My Story:

I'm a young man, and I've been living on my own and trying to manage my bills by myself since November of 2020. I had a roommate that I shared expenses with up until then, but he started to turn violent, and I ended up having to file a restraining order against him. Since then, I've been reluctant, and frankly, even a little scared to find another roommate to assist with rent. That situation with my roommate made an already bad situation much worse.

In March of 2020, I was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma (cancer) in my jaw, and the doctors had determined that it had already progressed to Stage II. That same week, I was laid-off from my job due to the pandemic. It felt like my life was falling apart, but after three surgeries and a chemotherapy regimen, I have recovered and have started working again. I wasn't able to work for all of 2020 and all of 2021, but with serious determination, I was able to get my old job back and started working again in February of this year. However, I'm worried that it's going to be too little too late because after being out of work, paying bills on my own, and covering the cost of my treatment, my financial situation has been very unstable. Still, I managed to keep up with my rent for the most part, but I'm behind by about two months, and I'm not going to be able to get caught up in time to avoid being evicted. I'm humbly asking for assistance with my rent so that I can continue to work and stay in my home for the foreseeable future.

Getting my rent completely back on track would finally allow me to resume living my life peacefully after it was derailed by cancer. The final roadblock on my way to recovery would be removed, and I could finally live my life cancer free and financially stable. It's been such a long journey to get back to this point, and I can't even put into words how grateful I would be to the people who help me reach the end of my journey. To everyone who assists me, thank you for bringing me the peace that I've sought for two long years.
