This person has left the following thank you note:

We are going through a rough time, but we have been able to remain optimistic about our future because we knew we would get over it. Because we were around people who supported us. With your help, I was able to focus more on getting me healthy enough to return to my job. Thank you so much. You just made a difference in the world by helping people in need. We will never forget your help and when the others need our help, we will always be there to help them. Once again, thank you very much for your support.

I'm Struggling to Work Consistently Due to Service-Related Injuries. Please Help Us Keep Our Home!

My Story:

I'm a military veteran, and I'm married to my lovely wife. We want to start a family, and we our foremost dream is to become the best parents that we can be by finding stable careers, a nice community, and a good home. We have many dreams and goals ahead of us, but sadly, we've had to put a lot of those on hold lately. I'm an essential worker and have been working in hospitals since I left the military; however, I've been struggling to work consistently due to the severity of some of my service-connected disabilities. Right now, I'm on long-term sick leave from my job, and I'm not receiving any of my pay as a result.

In order to make ends meet, my wife and I have been delivering food, and that's supplemented our income a little bit. However, it's not nearly as much as I make at my job when I'm able to work at the hospital. We've been working hard trying to make enough money doing food deliveries to get by, but as my health has deteriorated further, neither me nor my wife can continue to do deliveries for very long. Right now, we're trying to focus on getting me healthy enough to return to my job, but we're trying to do that while behind on our bills, so it's very difficult. We've fallen behind on our rent and on our car insurance payments, and without either of us being able to bring in a significant income, we're struggling to catch up on these two bills. So, my wife and I are humbly seeking help with our rent and car insurance payment.

With the threat of homelessness and the loss of our only vehicle looming over us, it's almost impossible for me to focus on getting healthy again. Losing our car, our vehicle, or both would be catastrophic for us, and I'm not sure how we would escape the cycle of poverty that could throw us into. Still, I know that I can get healthy again, and I know that this hardship will pass should we get this generous assistance. My wife and I remain optimistic about our future despite the darkness we currently find ourselves surrounded by. I know there is good in the world, and I know that there are people out there who are willing to be our lighthouses in the dark. To all of those kind and generous people, I want to say thank you in advance for your assistance and support.
