After My Rent Went Up, I'm Struggling to Keep My home & Stay in School! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a young woman, and I live on my own. I work part-time to support myself as I work hard to finish getting my education. When I'm not deep in my studies or working at my part-time job, I like to spend time with my friends and family. I'm also an avid reader, and I spend a lot of time with my books.
Transitioning into the new year was a very difficult time for me because my job is largely seasonal. With COVID spiking again late last year, it cut into how much I was able to earn over the holiday season, and that's made it difficult for me to get by in the long run. I've been struggling to keep up with a lot of my bills, but the real critical blow came when my landlord decided to increase my rent. With less coming in over the holidays and with a higher rent, I've been having a very difficult time managing my financial situation, and I'm deeply worried that it's going to result in me losing my home. So, I'm humbly asking for assistance with catching up on my rent so that I can keep my home as I work to find either a second job or a new, lower cost apartment.
This generous assistance would buy me the time that I need find a new job or find a lower cost apartment. Most importantly though, I'll be able to stay in my home and finish school as well. Getting this help would be the opportunity that I need to stay on track and keep moving forward so that I can graduate and find a career that will keep me financially stable. Thank you all in advance for this very generous assistance, and I promise to do my best to pay it forward when I graduate and find work.
