I just want say how humbling this whole experience has made me. Im not a women who who has seen a lot of help, but I am thankful to those of you who give to a cause like this one. I love even more that this organization is for the working class citizen. It seems to me that there is a abundance of resources for those who dont have a lot which there should be, but working class citizens need help to especially in these unforeseen circumstances. My family and I are forever grateful and humbled by your generosity. Be blessed and do your best to stay safe.
I Lost Work After My Daughter Tested Positive for COVID. Please Help Us with Rent!
I'm a single mother of two, ages 10 and 1 year(s) old. My oldest virtually lives on Tik Tok, but she also loves to place music for her school and is very talented. She's also an excellent student who loves school and loves to read. My youngest daughter is very smart and loves to watch Moana on repeat. Everything that I do, I do for my daughters and their happiness. I'm very proud to be their mother, and I will always fight for them.
We've been facing some short-term hardship that I'm worried will quickly turn to long-term hardship if things get out of control. My daughter tested positive for COVID, causing me to have to call out of work for an extended period of time. This isn't the first time I've had to miss work due to COVID, and I was out of paid leave and sick days, so I went without pay for the time that I had to take off. During that time, I fell behind on our rent, and now we're in a dangerous situation where we could lose our home in a matter of weeks.
I've managed to get an extension from my landlord to pay the rent, but once that's passed in a few weeks, that's it, and we'll be evicted. I'm not going to be able to come up with the money on my own because of the time that I've had to take off of work, so I'm humbly asking for assistance with catching up on our rent. We would be very appreciative of this help, and it would do a lot to get us back to a position where we're stable once again. I'll be able to pay my bills on time and in full going forward, and once we're back on our feet, I promise to pay the generosity and kindness we're shown forward to someone else in need. Thank you all in advance for this assistance.
