I'm About to Start a New Job, but We Need Help Catching Up on Our Rent Before Then!
My Story:
I'm a 23-year-old man, and I live with my girlfriend in a modest one bedroom apartment. Currently, I'm working at a rent-a-center, but I recently found a new job that I hope will bring us more stability. It's been a difficult year in terms of finding consistent work, and I've lost multiple job over the course of the year because they couldn't stay open or because they couldn't give me the hours that I needed. I've also lost family members over the past year to COVID and have had to deal with other difficulties beyond that as well.
My girlfriend and I are struggling financially, but we're finally on the road to getting back on track with everything. This new job is a huge opportunity for me to start earning a more sustainable living, but I'm worried we're going to lose everything before then. Right now, we're behind on our rent and on our electric bill, and I'm worried that if we stay behind on both for much longer, we'll lose our home, our power, or both.
I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent and our electric bills that we're past due on. This would give me the chance to start my new job off on the right foot, and I would finally be able to give myself and my girlfriend the stability that we need to succeed. For that, I would be truly grateful and would like to say 'thank you' in advance to everyone who lends us a hand with these two bills.
