After Starting Over Due to a Divorce, I Need Help Keeping My Storage Units Please!

My Story:

I'm an independent, self-confident, hardworking woman, and I still am, even after I married a man who took everything I ever cared about away from me. I suffered years of emotional abuse that cost me my career, my self-esteem, my children, and nearly my life. I had to sign over primary custody of our children to my ex-husband, and he promised that things would return to normal once I found my own place and got back on my feet. Sure enough, I did, but instead of renegotiating the custody agreement, he threatened to take me to court for full, permanent custody of our children. I wasn't in a position to challenge him due to my financial situation being tenuous at best, so I didn't. Being without my children led me down a dark path, and I made an attempt on my own life.

I have worked hard to recover from those difficult times, but I lost almost everything and had to start over. My main goal is to find a new home so that I can see my children more regularly, but that's been hard for me to do because I don't earn enough money to qualify for most apartments, and I also have to pay child support to their father. I work full-time, but I have to live paycheck to paycheck, so it's difficult for me to look beyond just surviving day-to-day. Still, I'm trying to look ahead so that I can at least find a home in the near future, but I need help if I'm going to do that.

Basically, all of my belongings are in two storage units while I'm staying with friends and family while trying to get back on my feet. I've fallen behind on my payments for these two units after my hours were reduced due to COVID, and I'm worried that I could lose all of belongings. There is a lot of sentimental stuff in those units, but there's also a lot of stuff that I need for my home when I'm able to find one, and it would cost an arm and a leg to replace all of that stuff. On top of allowing me to hold onto to all of my belongings, this assistance would give me a chance to put some of my income away to save for a home. More than anything, I want to get back to a stable place so that I can see my kids and so that I can be a bigger part of their lives. Truly, that's all I want. Your generosity and kindness would put me one step closer towards that goal, and as a mother, I couldn't be more grateful.
