The 2021 Modest Needs Matching Grant Challenge: ALL GIFTS MATCHED up to $150k!

My Story:

The months of January, February, and March are among the busiest of the year at Modest Needs. During these first months of each new year, we see an unbelievable uptick in requests for help from hardworking people struggling to shoulder the burden of short-term emergency expenses that will wreck havoc on their lives if left unaddressed.

Unfortunately, this uptick in requests for help corresponds with the downturn in contributions that comes at the end of every giving season. This means that, without some creative planning, we'd be forced to say 'no' to dozens of hardworking families who genuinely needed our help during this time. And because we NEVER want to turn a deserving family away simply for lack of funding, every December, Modest Needs offers a VERY special MATCHING GRANT CHALLENGE!

Beginning today and through the rest of December, EVERY contribution you make to Modest Needs will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $150k! That's right! For the rest of the month, any time you choose to help a hard-working family you've seen on the Modest Needs website, buy a gift certificate, or contribute to our general or emergency funds, the value of your gift will be DOUBLED until we hit that $150k goal. And when we DO hit that $150k goal, we'll have enough funding to help the vast majority of the families who'll turn to us in January, February and March 2022 - the leanest months of the year.
