My boys and I would love to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the donors!!!!!! We are so grateful for even seeing it fit during the holiday season to donate to our family! God is amazing and prayer works! My boys and I will finally be able to take a nice warm bath, something we have been looking forward to doing for over a month! We also have enough to cover the rest of the utilities so we are back on track! Thank you to all the donors and Modest Needs Foundation for all your help in making this possible! Happy Holidays!!!

Our Water Has Been Shut Off & We Need Help URGENTLY to Turn it Back On Please!

My Story:

I'm a single mother of two beautiful boys. My oldest son is 2 years old and was recently diagnosed with autism. He's the most loving, relaxed, and adventurous little boy you could ever imagine. My youngest is just a year old, and he loves to learn, is as adventurous as his brother, and he's extremely funny. My two sons are my entire world, and I work very hard for them. Right now I work as a registered nurse, but I'm pursuing my real estate license so that I can try to jump into entrepreneurship to build generational wealth for my family in order to give my children the best life that I can.

I lost my job back in May of this year due to cutbacks from the pandemic. It's been extremely difficult to find a job that will work with my son's therapy schedule and that will also pay the bills month to month. Thankfully, I've been able to find my current job as a nurse so that I can start to catch up on everything that we fell behind on while I was out of work. However, I wasn't able to catch up on our utility bills in time to avoid a shut-off, so our water has been shut-off for about a week now. I've drained my EBT card trying to buy gallons of water for us at the grocery store in order to even just bathe. Needless to say, we're in a really desperate situation, so I'm humbly seeking assistance with our past due utilities so that I can get the water turned back on.

Not having fresh water is extremely dangerous for us, and I'm not sure how much longer we'll be able to keep our home if we can't get the water turned back on. I'm working again, but I don't have the income to catch up any time soon. I'm still working to get my real estate license and to find work doing that, but that won't be for a few more months. In the meantime, we really need to have our water turned back on, so we would be extremely grateful for assistance with that. We'll be able to live comfortably, and eventually, we'll be able to get completely back on track thanks to this generous assistance. We will never forget the kindness and compassion we're shown.
