I've Worked 3 Different Temp Jobs & Have Finally Found Work After a Year, but I Need Rent Help!
My Story:
I live on my own, and I've been living in my apartment for 20 years now. The past year has brought a lot of hardship with it, but I've managed to weather the storm for the most part. However, I'm on the verge of becoming financially self-sufficient and stable again, but I'm worried that I could lose the home that I've lived in for 20 years before that happens.
I was unemployed for part of 2020, but I didn't remain on unemployment for long and immediately started working at a staffing company. All in all, I worked three different temp jobs before I started working my full-time position that I'm at now. I started working at a warehouse called Construction Specialties in September of this year, and I'm still getting settled in, but I like it so far. Out of the 12 temps that started and left during my time here, me and two others have been hired on full-time, so I feel very lucky to have finally found work. With that being said, temp work doesn't pay the same as full-time work, so I've had a hard time keeping up with my rent over the past two years. I've managed to get to a position where I'm only a month behind right now, but I'm in danger of incurring late fees and then being evicted if I can't catch up.
After having just secured a full-time job after over a year of being a temp worker, I would be devastated to lose my home. I've lived here for 20 years, and I'm so close to saving it. So, I'm humbly asking for assistance with my rent so that I can keep my home and continue to get back to a point where I'm self-sufficient again. After a year of struggling, I would be so grateful to the kind people who help me get to the end of this hardship, and I promise to do my best to pay your generosity forward. Thank you all in advance.
