I Lost My Job to COVID & Need Help with My Utility Bills Please!

My Story:

I'm a 51-year-old woman, and I live on my own. I enjoy working and trying to stay busy, but that's been difficult to do since I lost my job in March of this year. I've been looking for work since losing my job, but when I'm not doing that, I like to do arts and crafts. I also have two Labradors that I love with all of my heart and who keep me company too.

After losing my job, I started to receive unemployment benefits, and those were keeping me afloat for the most part until recently. In August, my regular benefits stopped and my EDD payment was put in pending. I reached out and was told that I needed to do a phone interview. I have waited and waited, and now, it's been ten weeks without hearing from anyone. I haven't been able to get through to anyone to help me with my unemployment, and I'm stuck. I've been searching hard to find a job that will allow me to get back to being stable again, but I haven't had any luck and am now behind on my rent by about a month and a half. I'm also behind on my water and electric bills, and I can't afford to catch up on those and my rent at the same time. I'm on the verge of losing my services or my home and need help.

I've already received notice that if I don't find a way to catch up, then I'll lose my electric services and water, but I could also lose my home if I can't catch up on my rent. I don't have any family or friends nearby to assist me, so if I lose my home, I won't have anywhere to go. It would also put an end to my job search as well, and I'm not sure how I would ever recover. So, I'm asking for assistance with my water and electric bills because it will buy me the time that I need to either find work or to get my unemployment benefits sorted out once again. I'll never forget the support that I receive, and I'm very grateful to everyone who reads my story and considers helping me with these bills.
