I'm Taking Care of My Husband Full-Time While He Battles Kidney Failure & We Need Help Catching Up!
My Story:
We're a married couple facing really difficult circumstances after my husband was diagnosed with stage 5 renal kidney failure. It's been even more difficult to deal with because he doesn't qualify for disability and needs round-the-clock care. I stopped working in 2020 due to COVID and also in order to care for my husband. I was receiving unemployment benefits for a time, but those have since run out, and we're really having a hard time now.
We don't have hardly anything coming in right now in terms of income, and I can't work because I have to care for my husband almost 24 hours a day. I'm looking for something I can do in order to get something coming in, but thus far, I haven't found anything that will allow me to also be able to care for my husband at the same time. We own our home, so we've been able to keep a roof over our heads, but we've fallen behind on almost everything else, and we desperately need help catching up.
The most pressing bills that we're behind on are our phone bills, our car insurance, and our electric bill. All of these are extremely vital to our ability to live in our home safely and to our health as well. Without our phones or car insurance, it would be nearly impossible for me to get my husband to and from doctor's appointments and dialysis treatment. Without our electricity, we won't be able to stay in our home comfortably, and the cost to get it turned back on would be almost impossible for us to come up with in the near future, thereby putting us into an even deeper hole financially speaking. I'm hoping that I can find a job that will work for us soon, but until then, we're in desperate need of assistance and would feel so blessed to receive this generous assistance.
