This person has left the following thank you note:

I am so appreciative of the assistance offered. I am working again and getting back on my feet financially. The 9nly thing still hanging over my head is the back rent owed and the prospect of being evicted. Your generous donations will allow me to stay in my home. The possibility losing my home was devastating for me. Thanks to your generosity, I can stay in my home and be able to get back on my feet. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and the peace of mind it affords me. Thank you so much and God bless all of you as you have blessed me.

I Worked in a Nursing Home but Needed to Find a New Job & Need Help Keeping My Home!

My Story:

I'm a 64-year-old LVN with over 20 years of experience. I love my job and take a lot of pride in assisting my patients, even if the pandemic has been especially hard on my industry. When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my two cats, to read, and to do outdoor activities like camping and hiking.

Even though I love my job, after a year and a half of working at a long term care facility during the pandemic with no time off, I wound up with a severe case of burnout. I found myself making mistakes and omissions that I would normally never make. To preserve my license and my health, I decided I needed to get out of floor nursing for the time being. In the month since I left my last job, I've had several possible positions that I applied for, but none have been finalized. I've been without income for that time, and I'm really struggling to manage my expenses. I think I'm I need urgent assistance if I'm going to keep up with my rent and keep my home.

I've fallen behind on my rent and have already received a pay or vacate notice. I have a job interview for a promising position that's coming up later this week, but I'm worried that I'll lose my home before I can collect my first paycheck if I get that job. So, I'm humbly asking for assistance with paying my rent so that I can keep a roof over my head until I find work again. I'll be able to continue to search for work without the fear of homelessness looming over me. For that, I want to thank everyone who lends me a hand with my rent in advance.
