It is with the utmost appreciation that I am able to get a chance to thank each and everyone of you for your generosity. I can't put into words how much this truly means to me. But as I sit here safely in our home, im full of so much happiness knowing I will be just fine. They say, 'Not all hero's wear capes' and they are 100% true. Because I don't know not 1 person who helped me, but your all hero's to me. You all saved us by saving our home. So from the bottom of my heart, the kids and myself thank you all.
My Children & I Finally Escaped Abuse & Found a New Home, but We Need Help Keeping it Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mom, and I have two young kiddos I'm raising on my own. My oldest is 11 years old and my youngest is almost 2 years old. My oldest is an amazingly bright soul, and she's a bundle of energy as well. She cheers for our local school, and she can sing her heart out as well! My younger son is my guy, and he loves Daniel the Tiger and riding his toy train around. My children give me so much joy and hope. They give me a will to push on because I know they deserve a strong mother and a stable home, and I'll never stop fighting to make sure they have both.
I'm in the middle of trying to get out of an abusive relationship. I got a job and saved whatever I could to find us a new place to live. Finally, I got the opportunity to get out and to get away when my ex was arrested for violating a Domestic Violence Order. However, we've struggled to make it on our own due to some extenuating circumstances. Three days after moving into our new place, I caught COVID and was out of work for almost an entire month. I had PTO, but it was only half of my normal income. I was eventually cleared to return to work, but I've fallen behind on my rent. The fact that it's so early on in my lease doesn't help either, so I'm worried that we're going to be forced out of our new home.
I fought so hard and for so long to save and to get my children and I out of a dangerous situation, but now, we're closer to our breaking point than ever before. I can't afford to lose our home just as my children are starting to feel like things are finally going to be okay. I have a hard time reaching out for help sometimes, but I know that for the sake of my children, it's what I have to do to save our home. As a mother, I would be so deeply appreciative of all of the people who give me the chance to give my children a better life after years of struggling. I promise that we will never forget the people who help us keep our home, and I want to thank you all in advance for this extremely generous support and for giving me the opportunity to get back on track.
