After Flooding Destroyed Our Basement, We Need Help Catching Up on Some of Our Bills Please!

My Story:

I'm raising two boys, ages 6 and 8 years old, on my own as a single mother. I love them so much, and they truly make me so happy. They love playing basketball, and they're always so helpful around the house and love to help me clean up. In addition to raising my children, I also help to take care of my mother, and I also work full-time as a caregiver. I take a lot of pride in my work and in helping my mother and my patients to live their best, most fulfilling lives.

Right now, my family is really struggling as a result of some flooding that occurred in our home. Normally, we live paycheck to paycheck, so this flooding has been very difficult for us to manage. I've been trying to deal with the expenses from having people come to repair the damage. Beyond that, I have also been trying to clear the garbage out from the flooded basement, and we've also been having problems with bugs in our home, so I'll eventually have to get pest control to deal with that. On top of all of that, I've also missed out on work due to COVID and having my hours cut. It seems like everything I bring in just goes straight to food, daycare, and rent, and we don't have anything left over to go towards our other bills.

I have fallen behind on our phone bill and our water bill, and we're facing a shut off to both services unless we can catch up very soon. I'm humbly asking for assistance with both of these bills so that we don't lose those services. It's been a rough couple of months, but I have hope that we can make it through this, especially with this generous assistance with these two outstanding bills. This would also give me more room to maneuver with our budget, and I could put more towards fixing our home after the flooding we had. We would be so grateful to everyone who lends us a hand with these two bills, and I promise to do my best to pay it forward in the near future.
