Our Car Broke Down & We Lost Work to COVID! Please Help Us Keep Our Home!

My Story:

I am a single mother of one adult daughter, who is unemployed and looking for work. She enjoys in her spare time cooking, walking around the park and skating at an indoor roller rink with me on occasions; we value our time together a lot. I work and hold down two part-time jobs as an instructor and enjoy making a difference in the lives of my students through teaching.

Due to COVID-19, both our jobs were shut down. Losing our jobs has put us in a serious bind financially, but on top of that, we've also had to have repairs done to our only vehicle. The throttle on our car unexpectedly went out, and this put us on an even tighter budget. For the past few months, I've had a hard time paying our mortgage, and I'm worried that it's going to get to the point where our home goes into forbearance and then foreclosure. I'm heading back to work, but the car repairs set us back a lot, and we desperately need help with catching up on our mortgage again before we lose our home. I've been able to get our past due payments delayed in order to find help, but we're in a race against time to get caught up.

Getting our mortgage back on track is my biggest priority right now because we're really on the verge of losing our home at a critical point. With me going back to work soon, we're on the verge of being able to make it through this difficult period, but it also feels like we're equally as close to having everything else collapse. My daughter and I would be so grateful for this assistance, and we will do our best to pay your kindness forward when we're in a position to do so again.
