I Recently Became a Mom & Need Help Keeping Our Home Please!
My Story:
I became a first-time mother to a beautiful daughter. I had her during the middle of the pandemic, and she's the greatest thing to ever happen to me. She's an amazing girl who loves books, animation, and music. Every night we like to go up to the roof of our apartment to look at all the stars. I'm doing my best to instill a love for science in my daughter because it's also my greatest passion. I work as a lab technician at a small lab, and when I'm not working, I'm studying to get my nursing certification so that I can eventually find work in that field.
I'm an essential worker, but before that, I'm a mother. I work part-time right now because I have to have suitable childcare for my daughter, and I haven't been able to find that on a regular, affordable basis. That's put me in a difficult position because I need to work to keep a roof over our heads, but I also have to care for my daughter, and that comes first. I'm just feeling like I'm stuck right now and like I can't get out no matter which way I turn.
My greatest concern is with our rent because I'm going to come up short on that this month. I haven't been able to find much in the way of affordable childcare for my daughter, so that's caused my hours and income to dip. I think I've worked out something in terms of childcare that will work next month, but until then, we desperately need help with our rent.
I would be so humbled and grateful for this assistance, and I know that with this help, we'll be able to get back on our feet in no time. Becoming a mother in the past year has given me a whole new perspective, and all I want is for my daughter to have the best life I can possibly give her. So as a mother, I want to say 'thank you' from the bottom of my heart to all of the kind people who support us in our time of need.
