I Was Out of Work for 2 Months & Need Help Keeping a Roof Over My Daughter's Head Please!

My Story:

I'm a single mother raising my exceptional daughter on my own. My life revolves around her, and I couldn't be more thankful for that. She just started first grade and loves superheroes, dinosaurs, and climbing trees. My daughter is very kind-hearted and loves to do volunteer activities to help people in our community. When I'm not spending time with her, I work full-time for a company that helps to match patients with the best healthcare plan for them.

I started that job after I lost my old job in March of this year. After I lost my job, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that made it difficult to work certain jobs, so I'm very thankful to have found my current job. However, I was out of work for almost two months, and now, my employer has cut our hours due to the economic effects of the pandemic. Having my hours cut after being out of work for so long has put a huge strain on my ability to make ends meet, and I've fallen behind on our rent and electric bill.

With my hours cut and with limited prospects for work, I don't have any way to catch up on our rent or electric bill before we lose our home or lose service. That has put us into a desperate situation, and although I'm not used to asking for assistance, I know that I have to for the sake of my daughter. Losing our home would be almost impossible to come back from because we don't have anywhere else to go right now. We'd have to go to a shelter or sleep in our car, and that just isn't a situation any child should be in. Getting this help would make sure that we can keep our home, and it would give me a chance to finally catch my breath. I could even start to rebuild our savings to give us more of a safety net for when things get tough due to my health. My daughter and I would be so grateful for this assistance, and I promise to make sure that she knows all about the kind and compassionate people who come together to help us keep our home.
