We Were Homeless After Fleeing Abuse, & After More Hardship We Need Rent Help Please!
My Story:
I'm raising two amazing children on my own as a single mother. My 6-year-old just started attending 1st Grade in-person and loves everything about it, while my 3-year-old is a big ball of energy who is just enamored with the show PJ Masks. Raising both of my children on my own is difficult to say the least, but nothing brings me more joy and more pride than being their mother.
I work hard for my children, and I work full-time handling social-security disability cases. Recently, my children and I were homeless after we had to flee our apartment to escape an abusive relationship. We managed to find a new apartment back in June after searching for a while, and we truly love our new home. We feel very safe here after facing a lot of hardship and uncertainty. However, due to my car breaking down, we're now faced with uncertainty once again because I can't afford our rent after getting my car repaired. I'm doing everything I can to keep us afloat right now, but I can barely put enough food on the table to feed my family. We're in a desperate situation and could lose our home again if we can't find assistance.
We have tried turning everywhere we could think of for assistance, but our pleas have been denied until now. Just being considered for this assistance has raised my spirit tremendously, and I know that if we can find short-term help, my family will be okay in the long-term. It's difficult for me to reach out for assistance, but I know that I need to humble myself to ask for this assistance with our rent for the sake of my children. Thank you all in advance for your extremely kind and compassionate support with our rent. I will never forget the people who save our home!
