I'm a Veteran Pursuing My Education, but I Need Help Keeping My Home Please!

My Story:

I'm a veteran and a full-time student living on my own since I relocated to Georgia. I was medically discharged from the military recently, and I've decided to go back to school using the GI Bill. While I'm excited to begin this new chapter of my life, I'm also nervous about my current financial situation.

I'm currently unemployed because I've begun school full-time and can't work while focusing on my studies. Without a job, I'm relying on VA benefits to arrive, but those have yet to kick in for one reason or another. I'm still trying to work out when those will begin to arrive, and I'm hopeful it will be in the next month or so. In addition to the VA benefits, I'm also waiting for my GI bill to cover my tuition as well, but that should also happen when my VA benefits begin. Relocating from Georgia on my own and waiting for this government help to arrive has out me in a situation where I can't afford my rent for this coming month. I need urgent assistance with my rent if I'm going to continue to pursue my education and stay in my home.

This generous help will allow me to focus on my education while I wait for my military benefits to kick in. Once those begin arriving, I'll be able to put myself through school and stay in my home without the fear of eviction looming over me and jeopardizing my studies. I know my education is one of the only paths I have to move ahead in life and to get to a place where I can work a stable and fulfilling job, so getting this help will mean so much to me and to my long-term success. Thank you all for helping me to achieve my educational goals and for helping me to keep my home during a stressful and vulnerable time in my life. I will never forget you kindness and compassion.
