I've Had to Scale My Hours Back Due to COVID, & I Need Help Keeping My Car!

My Story:

I'm a single woman working as a mental health counselor. I treasure my job and my patients, and I feel so grateful to wake up every day to go do something I love. When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my loved ones, to travel, and to just relax and take care of myself. I would characterize myself as someone who is hardworking above all, outgoing, and caring towards others.

I love my job as a mental health counselor, but I do tend to live paycheck to paycheck. I've also taken a hit after having to move from working full-time to part-time hours, and my budget is tighter than it's ever been. I had to scale back how much I was working because the pandemic, and the workload that came with it have taken a serious toll on my mental health. I knew that if I was going to continue to do what I love, then I would have to take something of a break from it. As a result, I've fallen behind on my car payments and am weeks away from having it repossessed.

I'm humbly seeking assistance with keeping my car because it's the only means I have to get to and from work. After switching my hours to part-time, it's been difficult to adjust to my new budget, but I'm confident that I'll be able to make it month-to-month with this assistance until I go back to working full-time. I plan on using this time to get my own mental health struggles under control, and then once I feel comfortable, I'll return to working full-time where I should be able to consistently take care of myself. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity in helping me hold onto to my only means of transportation.
