Our Car is the Last Thing We Have Left! Please Help Us Keep it!
I have been fortunate enough to have met the love of my life and best friend, Jacob. We have two children, our daughter who is turning 4 years old in August and our son who is turning 3 years old in October. They're polar opposites; our daughter is fiesty and always moving, and our son is laid back and a real sweetie pie. He recently was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and though we accept and welcome that that makes him unique, we are nervous for the added hurdle our family faces as a whole.
We are a paycheck to paycheck family, so the pandemic has been incredibly difficult for us to manage. We've been in and out of work since the beginning, and my hours were cut in half and Jacob's were cut entirely. He's been out of work for over a year now, and we've been having issues with getting our unemployment benefits, so we've been trying our best to get by on just half of my income. The situation has gotten so bad for us that my partner and I have had to send our children to live with family while we live out of our car.
We're on our last legs financially, and we really need help with our car payment. It's the last thing we have left, and it's all the security we have right now. We're doing our best to get back to work, to secure a new home, and to get our kids back to their lives in a happy and stable home. However, I know that we're going to need help if we're going to get back to that stability. Your generous assistance would get us through this short-term crisis, and it would buy us the time that we need to get back to work. We'll be able to hold on to the last thing that we have left, and for that, we would be extremely grateful. Thank you all for your compassion and support in advance.
