With no Childcare & My Son Home from School, I Need Help Taking Care of Our Power Bill Please!
I'm an essential worker and a single mother caring for my 12-year-old son. He's truly amazing and I feel very privileged to be his mother. He's just going into the 6th grade, and he loves to draw and play video games. He's a creative young boy, and he's the light of my life.
I'm an essential worker, and I work full-time as a hospice aide at our local hospice care center. My job is demanding and difficult, but I love it, nonetheless. I believe that people are entitled to dignity, and I view it as my duty to make sure they receive the dignity and respect they deserve in their final moments. Despite being an essential worker, my wages have been significantly affected by the pandemic because I've had to stay home with my son due to a lack of available childcare. My son was out of school during the height of the pandemic, and over this summer, there are very few affordable childcare options out there. He's heading back to school soon, but in the meantime, I've fallen behind on a few of our bills, and I really need help.
Specifically, I'm asking for help with our electricity bill because we're close to having our power shutoff, and it would free up some more income to go towards our rent for this month. I was in and out of work for almost a year because my son was in and out of school due to COVID, but this help would finally get us back to a point where I can consistently take care of our bills. Going forward, I'll be able to keep up with our rent, utilities, and other bills as long as we're able to get this generous assistance. Getting back on track is my number one priority right now, so we would be very grateful to get help with that. Finally, I just want to say 'thank you' for taking the time to read this and for considering us for this kind and compassionate help.
