This person has left the following thank you note:

On behalf of myself, daughter, and baby to be we will like to thank you all for all the help you provided for us. This experience was new to me but I am so happy that someone reached out to me about this program. You all funded way more than I was even expecting. Which this put us in a situation of where I can try to save up more and be ready for all upcoming things to come. With it getting closer to school starting I will be able to supply my daughter with more school clothes and school items. This also sets me up in a position where I will be able to get more things for the baby since my due date will be here before we know it! Overall just a big thanks for everyone that took the time to review my application and read my story. Its not always easy to let everyone know what you are going through or struggling with. Also for those that reached out to me and helped me with this process the whole step of the way, we greatly appreciate you all! I cannot wait until I am able to pay it forward for someone else that may be in need, thank you all again!!

I'm a Pregnant Single Mother On the Verge of Homelessness Due to COVID! Please Help.

My Story:

I'm a single mother of a lovely 10-year-old girl, and I'm currently pregnant with my second child too. My daughter and I are so excited to welcome a new addition to our small family! My daughter just began her summer vacation and has been spending all of her time outside and swimming. She also just started doing gymnastics and loves it too. I love to spend time with her whenever I can, but my job keeps me very busy.

Prior to the outbreak of Covid-19, I was working for a large company for almost 8 years. When the pandemic began, I was furloughed from my position, and I've only recently been rehired. Before the pandemic, we were living paycheck ot paycheck, and I didn't have anything to put away in savings. I managed to get unemployment benefits, but I had to go as far as to dip into my 401k early in order to get by. With a baby on the way, I have to worry about the added costs of medical bills, and I also have to try to plan for the fact that I'll be on maternity leave with less pay once I give birth. We're already behind on rent and our electric bill for June, and I have no way to come up with that and pay July's rent too. I'm terrified because the reality of our situation is that we'll be out on the street as soon as next month if we can't come up with our rent.

I'm humbly asking for help with our rent and electric bill so that we can make I can make it through my pregnancy without my family becoming homeless. In addition to buying us more time, this assistance will get us almost completely back on track with all of our bills. We'll have made it through the pandemic if we get this generous help, and for that we would be exceptionally grateful. We will never forget the kind and generous people who save us from catastrophe, and I promise that my children will grow up knowing this story. Thank you.
