I'm Suffering Congestive Heart Failure, & My Family is About to Have Our Water Cut Off! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a 76-year-old retired woman, and I live with my husband and our autistic adult son. I love my family more than anything in the world, and my husband and I have always done our best to provide for our son as well. Times have been difficult for us because I've been suffering with congestive heart failure and was in the hospital in late March of this year.
Living on a fixed income and dealing with these unexpected medical bills has been a big challenge for us. We've had to go without a lot of the time, and this has caused us to fall way behind on our water bill. Between paying for my prescriptions, my medical bills, and our rent, we just haven't been able to keep up with our water bill. It's gotten out of control, and we really need help if we're ever going to be able to get back on top of it. Next month, California's regular utility collection procedures resume, and we've already been served with a notice informing us that if we fail to pay, then we will have our water turned off.
For the sake of my family's comfort and health, we cannot afford to have our water turned off, so we're asking for assistance with getting this bill caught up and back under control. This would make a very stressful time so much easier for us, but beyond that, it would keep my family safe and comfortable in our home. We'll be able to maintain our bills from here on out if we get this help, so we would be exceptionally grateful to everyone who lends us a hand with this water bill. We are very thankful, and we promise to never forget the compassion we are shown.
