A Series of Issues with My Car Have Us Behind on Our Phone Bill & We Need Help!
My Story:
I am a 34-year-old single mom of two amazing children. My son is 11 years and is into sports, mainly ones like BMX and skateboarding, and is very energetic and full of life. My daughter is 10 years old and is the sweetest and most caring kid I've ever known; she loves helping animals and riding horses. We enjoy spending family time at the tidepool and days at the lake with our dog, Peanut. I'm also a college student at Los Angeles Pacific University.
Before COVID, we had been through some rough times as a family, and we were just becoming financially stable again when the pandemic came. School's closed when the situation started to get serious, and I had to quit my job at the animal hospital I was working at to stay home with my children. I couldn't afford a sitter because my savings had been wiped out multiple issues with our car. First, we were actually car jacked in a terrifying incident in Tucson. Then, after buying a new car, my brake lines were cut and went out when I was driving to work. Luckily, I crashed in front of a fire station, and they were able to make sure I was safe. Finally, after having to get even more repairs done to my car, my vehicle was towed after I was sold a vehicle that has fake tags. In addition to that, I'm in the middle of trying to escape an abusive relationship, but I can't get financially independent while I'm out of work and in the middle of trying to free my car from the tow yard.
I'm seeking assistance with our internet and phone bills because both are overdue, but also because it will free up enough money for me to get my car back. This will allow me to work towards starting a new, independent life for my children and I. We'll be able to find a way out of this situation thanks to your compassion and support.
