Our Landlord Raised Our Rent During COVID, & We Need Help Keeping Our Home Please!

My Story:

I'm an LPN and essential worker, and I'm currently working from home. My 19-year-old son currently lives with me and is in the process of applying for college. He's also an essential worker and works at a grocery store part-time. We both love to attend church, and I serve by being a part of the Praise and Worship Team while my son also Ushers at church. I also have a 25-year-old daughter and grandson who live close by but who have their own place. We all love to spend time together when we can!

Even through the pandemic, we were doing alright, but then our landlord decided to raise the rent in spite of the pandemic. We've gone from living paycheck to paycheck to a crisis where we're having trouble with almost all of our bills. I recently had to borrow money to pay for our new apartment that we had just moved into, and then I had to borrow more money when our car needed to have its engine replaced. On top of that, my son needed Wisdom Tooth surgery, so I had to pay for that, and now I'm worried that I won't be able to repay what I owe as well as our rent that we owe.

I'm humbly asking for help with our rent because without it, I'm worried we could lose our home or not be able to pay our other bills that we owe on. Since our landlord raised our rent, we've been having a really difficult time making ends meet, and this help would really give us the chance to get back on track. I have a hard time asking for help, but I know that we need this assistance if we're going to make it through this without losing everything we've worked hard for.
