I'm Battling Cancer & Am Facing Homelessness Too! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a 53-year-old wife, mother, and grandmother. I have seven grown children, and combined, they have given my husband and I 15 grandchildren! It's a lot to keep up with sometimes, but I love having such a large, loving family. Having all of their love and support means more than it ever has to me after I was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer about a month ago. I was working before my diagnoses as a full-time front-office hotel manager, but now, I'm on a leave of absence and am receiving disability benefits.
The disability benefits are much less than what I was being paid while working full-time, and on top of that reduction, I'm facing huge medical costs for my treatment. I'm at the beginning of my battle against cancer, but I'm already facing thousands of dollars of medical debt. It's been impossible to pay my bills and my credit score has dropped by 129 points in just one month. Cancer already has me scared half to death, but now I have to worry about if me and my husband will end up starving on the streets. That's why I'm very humbly asking for help with our rent for this month.
I know that I'm facing a long and difficult battle with cancer, but I also know that I can beat it and get back to work with this generous help. Having our rent taken care of for this past month would be a huge relief for me, and it would allow me to push forward in my battle against cancer without the fear that we'll be homeless. There's nothing I want more than to beat this cancer and get back to living my life surrounded by my family, and for help with that, I would be at a loss for words. I would be overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you all in advance for taking the time to just consider my story and thank you for your compassion and kindness as well.
