I'm Doing My Best to Get My Disabled Sons the Help They Need but need Help Keeping Our Lights on!
My Story:
I have three amazing children at home, and I'm raising all three of them on my own as a single mother. Two of my children are disabled; one of my children has Autism and is non-verbal, and my other disabled child has Down Syndrome. Both of them require numerous therapies to treat their disabilities, and that means that we've always had to live paycheck to paycheck.
I work extremely hard to make sure that my children have everything that they need, but the pandemic forced my employer to cut our hours by quite a lot. I work at a dental office, so the restrictions and lack of in-person appointments has greatly affected my hours. My income has been severely limited, and I'm struggling to keep up with all our monthly bills as well as my sons' therapy appointments. I simply can't afford their therapy right now, so they're behind on their appointments as a result. I have to do what I can to keep a roof over our heads and our lights on, but my son's also need their therapy appointments so that they can develop and live somewhat independently. So, I'm humbly asking for help with our utility bills so that I can free up some of my income to put towards getting them back on track with their therapy.
If we're able to keep our lights on thanks to this assistance, then I'll be able to make sure my sons can get back to their therapy appointments. Your help would have a huge impact on their lives, and I will never forget that as their mother. I promise to make sure that they know that kind in generous people came together to help us in our moment of need so that they too can grow up to be kind and generous people. Thank you all so much for your support and compassion in our time of need.
