A Mental Health Crisis Has Kept Me from Working Full-time, so I Need Help Keeping My Home Please!

My Story:

I'm 38 years old, and I'm a single woman living on my own. I don't really have any family around, and I'm pretty much on my own in terms of financial support. I work for a staffing company, and I enjoy my job for the most part. When I'm not working, I love to create polymer clay animals, paint, and play the Ukulele. I'm also dedicated to my Bible studies, and I spend a lot of time doing that.

For my entire adult life, I've struggled with schizoaffective disorder, a mental health disorder characterized by symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar personality disorder. It's a struggle every day to stay on top of my symptoms, but I've been managing fairly well for the most part. The most important aspect of managing schizoaffective disorder is medicating it to effectively reduce the prevalence and impact of the symptoms. Most of the time, my healthcare provider is able to do this effectively; however, recently I was not on the proper medication and began to lose control of my mental health. This caused me to miss out on a lot of hours at work, and it has made my financial situation extremely difficult. In fact, I'm going to fall behind on my rent this month as a result. I don't have any savings or support to fall back on, so I'm worried that if I fall behind, then I'll stay behind on my rent. That's why I'm asking for this extremely generous assistance with my rent for this upcoming month.

If I've learned anything from my struggles with my mental health, it's that it's important to remain proactive about my situation no matter what. That's why I've taken it upon myself to get back on the right medication and to take steps to reestablish my mental health plan. It's also why I've taken it upon my self to ask for help with my rent before my situation gets out of control.

This would be a huge help to my long-term stability both financially and mentally. I'll be able to focus on my mental health while also being able to work hard at my job, both of which will allow me to maintain direction and focus in my life. I'm confident that I can recover from this situation and get back to a manageable place with my mental health, but if I fall behind on my rent and lose my home, then I'm worried that will set me back to a place that I could never truly recover from. That's why getting this help is so important to me, and that's why I would be so incredibly grateful to everyone who lends me a hand with keeping my home.
