I'm a Disabled Veteran & I Need Help with Car Repairs so that I Can Get to the VA!

My Story:

I'm a 60% disabled veteran, and I constantly receive treatment at the VA in La Jolla, which is significantly far north of where I live in San Diego. I only have one means of transportation to and from the VA, my car. On top of getting to my VA appointments, I also work in the same area as an IT field technician and need my car to get to and from work. As you can see, my car is extremely important to my health and my ability to make a living.

I'm in a bad financial situation right now because recently, my car broke down and repairing it will cost me too much to be able to even put food on the table for this month. However, it's a tough situation because on the one hand I need my car to make a living, but on the other, I'll lose my home and go hungry if I pay to have it fixed. I've tried to find a way out of this situation by negotiating with the mechanic, but they won't budge, and insurance won't be of any use either. I'm hoping and praying for some assistance with these repairs because I don't have any way of being able to deal with this situation on my own.

Getting this help would be lifesaving for me because I'll be able to continue to go to the VA for treatments and to my job so that I can make enough money to keep my home and put food on the table. I'll be able to remain financially independent, and for that I couldn't even begin to thank you all enough. It's also a huge boost for me to know that there are people out there who genuinely care about me and my situation and who want to see me live the best life that I can. This would be a huge boost to my self-esteem and confidence too. Thank you for your support and generosity.
